Baking with the lil miss

This was from a few weeks ago when this pregnant Mama just had to have something sweet. We whipped up a batch of Double Chocolate Biscotti.

I really do adore baking & cooking with Miss E but must admit that I don’t always have the patience for it. She so does enjoy it & it’s wonderful to see her feel proud when we’re all done & enjoying our snack or meal. Not to mention the skills & patience she learns in measuring, pouring, mixing, & just taking the time to listen as we all know that’s not most toddlers’ forte.

I’m short on patience this pregnancy as everyday is a new adventure in the pregnancy side effects department. Also,I’ve had little to no desire for cooking during this incubation period as well. I hope after baby arrives that I can get back on track & include her in more kitchen activities. She was gifted a set of child safe knives from one of her Grandmas & it has been awesome watching her learn to use those.

What about you? What types of kitchen activities do your littles participate in & how do you make it an enjoyable time for both of you? a516e95963a75063f58a3cd2f39be3f30b1178ddad4bf6ddfe
